Landscapes in Oil

I've accessed farms through the efforts of the Yolo Art & Ag Project and to visit working farms like Emandal Farm. Closer to home, Blake Garden and Meeker Slough provide plenty of inspiration and challenges. Meeker Slough is often windy in the afternoon, and many a canvas and easel have been knocked down. Plein air painting is all about such accidents that are part of the process, including dirt that becomes embedded in paintings.
