Landscapes in Oil

I've been able to access farms through the efforts of the Yolo Art & Ag Project and to visit working farms like Emandal Farm. Closer to home, Blake Garden and Meeker Slough provide plenty of inspiration and challenges. Meeker Slough is often windy in the afternoon, and many a canvas and easel have been knocked down. I don't mind the grit that becomes lodged when that happens. Plein air painting is all about the accidents that become part of the process.
