Parklands in Oil

Parks provide a place for respite, especially for urban dwellers like me, and space for contemplation. I draw strength from ancient trees and ephemera of nature. I can remember the details of the places I paint by engaging deeply with the scenery. Even years later, I can recall the feel of the breeze, the quality of the light, and the way my feet sank into the soil.
